36 Olympics Cards

Propaganda card for the March Gordon Bennett Balloon Race Cup held in Chemnitz Germany. Card shows several balloons, including the Nurnberg, Hermann Goring (draping Swastika banners) and others. The Gordon Bennett Balloon Race Cup is the oldest balloon racing series, beginning in Paris in 1907. The card was mailed via airmail and has the race's special cancel.

Special Card for the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin showing runner with Olympic torch and route from Olympia Greece to Berlin. Card reads, "Fackelstaffellauf Olympia-Berlin." (torch relay race). Card has 3 + 2pf gymnastics stamp and special cancel for the olympics.

1936 color PPC for the fourth Winter Olympic games in Garmish. Card shows a ski-jumper in front of the Olympic rings with the Alps in the background. The back has the postcard stamp of an ice-skater issued for the event and the special cancel. It also has a special message from the Olympic Committee.
