VF NH. Austria B171-78, 1946 anti-fascist issue. Set of eight stamps showing: 5+3gr. dagger with swastika embedded in map of Austria; 6+4gr. broom sweeping away nazi and fascist symbnols; 8+6gr. Saint Stephen's Cathedral burning; 12+12gr. hand reaching through barbed wire; 30+30gr. hand choking nazi serpent; 42+42gr. hammer smashing nazi symbol; 1+1 Shilling, hand with broken chains pledging to never forget; 2+2 shilling, Austrian phoenix rising from burning swastika. All stamps inscribed "Niemals Vergessen," never forget. Two additional stamps were printed but not issued ostesembly because of their radical designs.
