Third Reich Semi Postal Stamps to 1942

VF NH. 1933. Wagner was Hitler's favorite composer and much of the 3rd Reich's official music came from Wagner's operas. Nine stamps, each representing a different Opera. Among them, -Das Rheingold, Siegfried, Lohengrin and Parsifal. Printed early in Hitler's Reign on Swastika watermarked paper. Very scarce. Very low printing figures. Only 265,000 sets printed the lowest of all the 3rd Reich's commemorative stamp sets. Scott Catalog reflects a $2360 price.<br>

NOTE: This sheet was issued with an acidic gum that made the paper deterioriate over time. This sheet had the gum removed early on&nbsp; which preserved it in like-new condition.<br>
