VF LH. 1943 German occupation of the city of Zara in the Croatian part of Yugoslavia. Italy initially seized the city at the beginning of WW II, but ceded it's occupied territiories to Germany in 1944. The set of Italian military propaganda stamps was overprinted with ten horizontal lines and "Zara," in November 1943. The four 30-ent stamps represent the four branches of the military. Signed.

VF LH. British MI6 war propaganda forgery of German Putsch stamp (see GE B250) showing General von Witzleben, who participated in the plot to assasinate Hitler. The inscription reads, "Hanged August 8, 1944; And Have You Yet Prevailed." Scarce corner margin propaganda stamp with selvedge.

VF used set on two pages. 1941 Hitler Set overprinted "Ukraine" for the Ukraine area of the occupied Soviet Union. Includes all 1941 stamps listed in the set by the German catalog. On piece with special official "Winniza" cancel. This is the German name for the Ukraine city of Vinnytsia, site of a massacre of civillians. The Vinnytsia massacre was the mass execution of between 9,000 and 11,000 people in the Ukrainian town by the soviet secret police NKVD during the Great Purge in 1937–1938, which the Germans discovered during its occupation of Ukraine in 1943. The investigation of the site first conducted by the international Katyn Commission coincided with the discovery of a similar mass murder site of Polish POWs in Katyn, Poland. Among the 679 dead identified by the Germans in 1943, there were also a certain number of Russians and 28 Poles (according to the latest data, the number of Poles killed by the NKVD in the city could amount to over 3,000). VF LH.1941 Issue for the French Tricolor Legion, volunteer Waffen SS brigade on the Russian Front. Sheet says: "Block De Frnachise Du corps, Expeditionnaire. De la Legion Des Volontaires Francais Contre Le Bolchevisme. Manually perforated in production. Issued to raise money for French Waffen SS fighting against the Soviets.

VF NH. Sep. 1938 1K. Masaryk commemorative stamp overprinted to welcome German rule. Germany was given the Sudetenland by England and France in an attempt to avoid war. Overprinted with "Wir Sind Frei and Swastika.
