Printed in 1943 in Berlin, the stamps were intended for the Nazi supported Waffen SS units of Subhas Chandra Bose in his efforts to combat the British Forces in India. The stamps were printed both perforated and Imperforate. The set has surcharges to help finance the war effort. A 1 Rupee stamp in three different formats was also issued. Sold separately.

De la Legion Des Volontaires Francais Contre Le Bolchevisme. Manually perforated in production. Issued to raise money for French Waffen SS fighting against the Soviets.

VF no gum. British von Witzleben Propaganda Forgery MI 29. Scarce propaganda forgery parodying Third Reich B250, anniversary of the Nazi Putsch. General Fieldmarshal von Witzleben led the 1944 assisination attempt against Hitler. The stamp is inscribed, Gehangt am 8 Aug. 1944. (Hanged 8 Aug. 1944), Und Ihr Habt Doch Gesiegt. (And yet you have triumphed!)
