VF first day CXL on special card. One of a pair issued by Germany in 1938 to mark the taking of Austria in a bloodless coup. Named the Anschluss, the move incorporated Austria into Greater Germany. With special Vienna (Wien) first day cancel on special card for the May Day event. Card reads Austria (Ostmark, historical name for Austria) celebrates the national day of labor.
