VF NH. 1900 Germania Reichspost set 2- 80 pf. Image is an allegorical depiction of "Mother Germany." A huge statue named the Niederwald Monument depicts Germania, and is located on the Rhine river near the confluence of the Rhine and Nahe Rivers. It was built from 1871-83 to mark the unification of Germany after the Franco-Prussian War. Excellent set.
